“Eri Weave, a brand with an aim to preserve the legacy of Eri silk”

Kong Iaishah Rymbai in collaboration with PRIME Meghalaya, launched the brand “Eri Weave”- A hand woven silk at PRIME Hub, J.N. Stadium, Polo, Shillong on the 1^st of March, 2022. The Startup Eri Weave was initially known as Iaishah Ryndia which manufactures yarn, fabrics and products made from eri silk using the traditional, eco-friendly and natural process of dyeing. Kong Iaishah Rymbai, the founder of Eri Weave is one of the Top- 50 Entrepreneurs of PRIME Cohort 2.0 and the Startup Eri Weave is incubated at PRIME for the period of 2021-2022. The program was a great success for Kong Iaishah and PRIME Team as a whole. Speeches by Dignitaries were made highlighting the hard work and dedication Kong Iaishah has put in to make her dream a reality and in doing so has helped create jobs for women in her Village and also brought about a movement called “Kamai haba shongkai”. Kamai haba Shongkai was made into a song which was sung beautifully by the weavers on this auspicious day. Further, Kong Iaishah shared her journey on how it all started, as she follows her passion and how she was able to stay on and keep going till she reached this milestone. Therefore, with this grand opening of the Brand Eri Weave, Kong Iaishah is happy to announce that Eri Weave products are now also available on eriweave.in and on Facebook.
