Precious Star Tmung founded “Zong Hi I”, which mean “It’s Our Own,” is a pioneer in eri silk dyeing and weaving in Meghalaya. Specializing in natural dyeing with local materials, it produces fabrics using traditional loin and fly shuttle looms. Renowned for its Ryndia (Ahimsa or Peace Silk), which avoids killing silkworms, the enterprise preserves traditional methods of spinning, dyeing, and weaving.
