A three-day Workshop on UX4G and Emerging Technology was organized from 23rd to 25th November 2025 at the State Convention Centre, Shillong, aimed at equipping participants with hands-on knowledge in UI/UX design, cybersecurity, and emerging digital tools aligned with state digital initiatives.
Day 1 – Introduction to UI/UX Design & Tools
The workshop began with a focused session by UX4G on innovative UI/UX design principles and cutting-edge web development tools. Participants were introduced to practical design approaches that enable the creation of intuitive and user-friendly websites, elevating the overall digital experience and product efficiency.
Day 2 – UX/UI Application & Cybersecurity Integration
Building on Day 1, participants explored website development tools, UX best practices, and state-supportive design techniques.
Key highlights included:
- Sessions on cybersecurity, Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, and platform safety strategies
- Introduction to Auto 360: A tool for design process automation and website development
- Insights into the Capacity Building Scheme to enhance digital skills across departments
The discussions emphasized how such tools can be integrated into government projects, streamlining design while ensuring compliance and security.
Day 3 – Data Resilience, Education, and Analytics
The final day offered a recap of UI/UX techniques, followed by in-depth sessions on:
- Cybersecurity best practices and Disaster Recovery strategies
- Overview of Cloud Data Centers and their role in digital infrastructure resilience
- Presentation on NEGD’s Capacity Building Scheme
- Introduction to the Academic Bank of Credit as an education reform tool
- Role of Data Analytics in improving governance and decision-making in government operations
