PRIME participated in the Frontier State Development Workshop, where we gained valuable insights into the unique challenges and opportunities of the North Eastern frontier states. The workshop, organised by the Government of Sikkim in collaboration with NITI Aayog on 14 January 2025, focused on region-specific development strategies, sustainable growth, and improved coordination between the Centre and North Eastern states.

Key discussions highlighted the importance of customised policy planning, infrastructure development, organic agriculture, innovation, and community participation in addressing the developmental needs of border and remote areas.

The programme provided a useful platform for knowledge sharing, and the learnings from the workshop have been valuable for strengthening development initiatives under PRIME and related programmes in the North East.
