In a first-of-its-kind initiative, an interstate Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between two startups, one incubated under PRIME Meghalaya and another based in Assam, united by a shared vision for innovation in the livestock feed sector.

The collaboration traces back to the 2nd Bootcamp of the PRIF Prakriti Incubation Launchpad held on 2nd & 3rd September, 2025 in Guwahati, where PRIME Meghalaya Team connected with Mr Sreyance Modi, Founder of AlteRe Innovations. During their discussions, Mr. Modi expressed interest in partnering with feed manufacturing enterprises in Meghalaya. Recognizing this as an opportunity waiting to unfold, PRIME connected him with Mr. Bonney Kharbani, Founder of Kyrsiew Pynroi Agrofarming Development Organisation and a dedicated Cohort 5 incubatee at PRIME Meghalaya.

Following this introduction, both startups engaged in weeks of discussions, idea sharing and planning. And today, that shared vision has been formally sealed. This collaboration aims to integrate upcycled feed ingredients into the production of affordable pig and poultry feed in Meghalaya.

AlteRe Innovations, an Assam-based startup, converts food waste into high-quality animal feed ingredients, while Kyrsiew Pynroi Agrofarming Development Organisation is a key feed manufacturing unit in the state.
Through this partnership, both startups will work together to incorporate upcycled feed ingredients into the production of affordable pig and poultry feed in the state. This breakthrough is set to enhance feed quality, improve access for farmers, and strengthen sustainable and circular-economy practices.
This interstate collaboration stands as a proud milestone and a testament to the power of connections, conversations and shared purpose. A great story of two startups, one vision and a partnership born from initiative and opportunity now ready to create real impact on the ground.
