Under the auspices of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and AICTE, New Delhi, NEHU Shillong organised the IIC Regional Meet 2025 for the entire North-East on 28th November (Friday), 2025. Smt.Saloni Verma, I.A.S., ED, MBMA, graced the event as the Chief Guest.
Smt. Saloni Verma, in her speech, while welcoming this initiative, highlighted the importance of building an entrepreneurial mindset essential at all levels, whether for starts ups /, entrepreneurs/ individuals. Exploring and developing new pathways for growth was also emphasised by her. In particular, she shared how PRIME, Meghalaya – Hon. CM Shri Conrad Sangma’s flagship program, was expanding its footprints to the block levels to engage and empower young individuals in Meghalaya to become purpose-driven entrepreneurs. In attendance were PRIME Team members Mr. Werlang Buhphang and Ms. Antonia Thangkhiew.
The IIC Meet serves as a collaborative platform for engagement, networking, and showcasing Institutional achievements in innovation and entrepreneurship, and to create a repository of such exemplary work at the national level – the YUKTI (Young India Unleashing Knowledge and Innovation) Innovation Repository.
