The Chief Minister’s E-Champion Challenge programme is a recurring annual event, giving a platform to all the budding local talent while creating a healthy entrepreneurial ecosystem in the state. The challenge is a multi-step procedure starting with a written online application, a shortlisting process, and ending with pitching sessions. The most promising entrepreneurs are selected for incubation under PRIME Startup Hub, Meghalaya.
In 2021, a fresh batch of entrepreneurs from the state will be on-boarded in Cohort 2.0, who will receive a number of benefits upon being incubated under PRIME. The E-Championship Challenge 2.0 received an overwhelming response of around 1600 applications. The major steps toward selecting the Top-50 Entrepreneurs of the state are completed. A critical jury of successful entrepreneurs and industry professionals have screened the applications and picked the Top-100 Entrepreneurs. The Top-100 Entrepreneurs then submitted their pitching videos and received a training session on pitching. Thereafter, the selected entrepreneurs got the opportunity to go live and pitch their business ideas virtually in front of the jury members, and finally, the Top-50 Entrepreneurs were selected among them. The final list of Top-50 Entrepreneurs for Cohort 2.0 will be announced soon.
