A major milestone in Meghalaya’s entrepreneurship journey! PRIME Meghalaya successfully onboarded 75 startups under CMECC 6.0 and graduated 75 startups from Cohort 5, reaffirming the Government of Meghalaya’s commitment to building a vibrant, inclusive startup ecosystem.
Held at Ward’s Lake, Shillong, the Onboarding & Graduation Program brought together entrepreneurs, policymakers, mentors and ecosystem partners, celebrating innovation, resilience, and local enterprise.

Under CMECC 6.0, selected startups receive business grants of ₹2 lakh (Top 35) and ₹1 lakh (Next 40), along with nine months of structured incubation support, including mentorship, training, market linkages, buyer exposure, and pathways to funding.

Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Conrad K. Sangma reiterated entrepreneurship as a core pillar of Meghalaya’s economic strategy, while Dr. Vijay Kumar D, Commissioner & Secretary- Planning, highlighted that CMECC 6.0 received nearly 4,000 applications, with PRIME teams reaching close to 2,500 villages through doorstep incubation. An additional ₹80 crore is in the pipeline, with a long-term vision of generating 25,000+ direct and indirect jobs by 2032.

The event also celebrated outstanding entrepreneurs and awardees.
