PRIME Meghalaya, through its Funding Sector, successfully conducted a two-day workshop on Export Readiness & Supply Chain Management on the 16th and 18th of July 2025 at the PRIME
Startup Hub, Shillong.
This initiative was aimed at empowering local entrepreneurs with theknowledge and tools necessary to explore global markets and enhance their export capabilities.The workshop, led by international supply chain expert Mr. Abhijit Arjun Kanungoe, broughttogether 20+ entrepreneurs, SHGs, and producer groups from across Meghalaya.
The workshopfocused on technical training and knowledge-sharing sessions, covering topics such as international
logistics, multimodal transport systems, export certifications, and strategic buyer negotiations. A panel discussion and interactive Q&A enabled participants to engage with logistics professionals and clarify export-related concerns.
Day 2 of the workshop, was focused on group discussions and one-on-one interactions between the expert and each entrepreneur. These sessions helped identify the needs of each business and allowed for deeper conversations about export challenges. Plans were also made for the upcoming diagnostic field visits, which will take place next week. During these visits, selected enterprises will receive live assessments and personalized recommendations to improve their export readiness.
The workshop is expected to enhance the global trade readiness of local producers, identify market- ready products, and build strategic networks between entrepreneurs and logistics experts. It marks a pivotal step in PRIME Meghalaya’s mission to establish a robust, export-driven entrepreneurial
