The Workshop on Bhashini, held on 29th April 2025 at the State Convention Centre, Shillong, marked a pivotal step in integrating Meghalaya’s native languages—Khasi and Garo—into the Digital India Bhashini platform. The initiative, led by the Department of IT&C, aimed at promoting linguistic inclusion in digital services and bridging the digital divide in the state.
The event was inaugurated by Shri Conrad K. Sangma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya, and saw participation from key state officials, department heads, and representatives from Digital India Bhashini Division.
