PRIME Meghalaya conducted a 2-day onboarding program for the Pre-incubation Batch 4 on the 11th & 12th of July, 2023 at PRIME Startup Hub Shillong. The program was attended by Smt. Isawanda Laloo, Executive Director, MBMA, Mentors, Coaches &Pre-Incubatees.
The 1st day of the program started with a welcome address by the Program Head, Aditya Sen followed by an introductory note by CEO, IIMCIP, Subhrangshu Sanyal as he shares few entrepreneurship tips with the aspiring entrepreneurs & how to become successful, that is by simply having passion, discipline & perseverance.
Further, a keynote address by the Executive Director, Smt. Isawanda Laloo was given, addressing to the new batch of Pre-Incubatees, the ED shares precious inspiring thoughts, a way ahead for the youths of Meghalaya to think outside the box; as the market is widening so also are the opportunities that people in Meghalaya need to hold on to & capitalize.
A detailed presentation on the Pre-Incubation journey which is a 4 month program seeking to nurture talent through individual mentor-mentees connect, equip entrepreneurs with skillsets & create peer-to-peer learning networks, preincubation design which is of 6 stages, Expectations from Mentors, coaches & mentees and Rewards & benefits was given by Jacqueline Swer, Incubation Head, PRIME & Lakshmi Rao, Advisor to PRIME, thereby concluding the 1st day with productive interactive session thereafter.
The 2nd day of the program started with a welcome & warm up session conducted by Lisha Sangma, Allan Laloo & Hillbert Sangma from the Incubation team. It was followed by activities for individuals & groups to build prototypes and were also given a chance to present their prototype to the audience.
Further, presentation on Innovation, what prototyping is and why is prototyping needed was given by Lakshmi Rao, Advisor to PRIME in which the Incubatees got to learn on further turning their ideas into a business.
The program focused on building prototype and gave way for the entrepreneurs to test their prototype, pitch their ideas and get feedback on it. The program ended by a productive interactive session & feedback by the Incubatees.
