What is the Chief Minister’s E-Championship Challenge?
The Government of Meghalaya launched the Chief Minister’s E-Championship Challenge to identify, nurture, and support the most promising entrepreneurs of Meghalaya who are driving innovation through their businesses or early-stage enterprises. The challenge is designed to help these entrepreneurs overcome key business challenges, scale their ventures, and create a lasting impact in the state’s economy through PRIME’s 9-month incubation program. The initiative provides entrepreneurs with access to mentorship, funding opportunities, business development resources, and a network of successful professionals, ultimately fostering growth and sustainability in Meghalaya’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Eligibility Criteria:
Entrepreneurs who fulfill the following criteria are eligible to apply for the Chief Minister’s E-Champion Challenge- The applicant must be an adult citizen of India.
- The applicant must be a domicile resident of Meghalaya.
- The applicant must have an existing business in Meghalaya and be able to demonstrate initial traction or revenues.
- The applicant must work on innovative and scalable business models, products, solutions, or processes that have the potential to create employment opportunities in Meghalaya.
- If the applicant has an existing business or start-up, it must not be older than 6 years.
- Startups that have previously undergone the Incubation Program are not eligible for this opportunity.
Top 50 selected entrepreneurs will receive the following benefits:
Business support Grant
- Top 35 Startups: Receive a financial boost with a grant of ₹2 Lakhs to scale your business.
- Bottom 40 Startups: Earn a ₹1 Lakh grant to support your entrepreneurial journey.
Recognition Certificate
Certificate of Excellence: Awarded by the Government of Meghalaya and IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, providing validation from two respected institutions.
Capacity Building
Participate in regular bootcamps, training sessions, and workshops focused on entrepreneurial skills, innovation, and sustainable business models, ensuring long-term success.
Pre-Incubation Opportunity
The Bottom 25 startups will seamlessly transition into the Pre-Incubation Program, offering continuous support and resources to strengthen their ventures.
