"Innovative Machinery & Replicable Business Models for Small-Scale & Rural Entrepreneurs in Meghalaya & the North-East"
PRIME Meghalaya in collaboration with SCSTE – State Council of Science, Technology & Environment Meghalaya is conducting the “North-East Entrepreneurship Machinery & Innovation Exhibition (NEEMIE)” from 29th November 2022 to 2nd December 2022 at Shillong, Meghalaya.
The exhibition will display machinery, business models and solutions that are specifically fitting for the entrepreneurs of Meghalaya & the North-East considering the unique geographical and environmental conditions and limitations in the region (e.g. limited power supply, infrastructure issues, small processing units etc.).
Solutions, Machines & Replicable Business Models for the following sectors will be exhibited. Important: These have to be suitable to be utilized/replicated/operated by small-scale and/or rural entrepreneurs.
Food Processing
Packaging Solutions
Handloom/Sericulture/Weaving
Bamboo Technology
Food Processing
Handicrafts/Furniture/Eco-Friendly Handicraft
Renewable Energy
Traditional Healing/Rural Healthcare/Medicinal & Aromatic Plants
Waste Management
Water-related technology
Tourism
Biotechnology
Construction & Fabrication Technology
Any other sector that might be relevant to small-scale entrepreneurs
To identify the most promising innovators and start-ups from across India related to these sectors, PRIME is floating PRIME Meghalaya’s Competition for “Innovative Machinery & Replicable Business Models for Small-Scale & Rural Entrepreneurs in Meghalaya & the North-East”.
The TOP5 innovators will be receiving an extensive support package that will allow them to display their solutions during this exhibition that will attract entrepreneurs and high-level visitors from the whole North-East.
The winners will receive free exhibition space during the NEEMIE along with, free flight tickets, transportation and accommodation for 2 people in Shillong during the exhibition (on reimbursement basis, up to a certain maximum limit).
The evaluation will purely happen by the selection committee based on the relevance of the machinery/solution to the local ecosystem and based on how much local entrepreneurs would benefit from
Eligibility Criteria:
- Company/Innovator must be located in India.
- Company/Innovator should have a product that has already been launched in the market (no prototypes).
- Company/Innovator should have the capability to supply the product to Meghalaya in case of any orders.
- In case of machinery, company/innovator must be able to display their product physically during the exhibition.
All of above terms and conditions are subject to change or cancellation by the organizers without any prior notification being required.
