Dipankar Sarkar, the founder of Blue Print Creatives & a professional photographer and videographer, from Tura West Garo Hills District, Meghalaya has been providing visual art across India. Dipankar started his venture into entrepreneurship with Blue Print Photography in the year 2017 and was based in Kolkata and pursued his higher studies in photography from the National Academy of Photography, Kolkata.
During his early days, his focus was on providing photography and videography services for music video and wedding shoot. However, all that changed when Dipankar came to know about PRIME HUB Pre- Incubation program and later got himself enrolled. He also applied to the Chief Minister Entrepreneurship Championship Challenge (CMECC) cohort 3 and after he pitched his business idea he was selected as the Top 25 of the CMECC cohort 3.
The programmes helped him to grow and get a better knowledge about his business, which eventually facilitated him to scale up his business into other services as well.
‘I always want to pursue photography and videography as a career option and with the support I got from my parent, family, PRIME and friends I was able to make it this far’ said Dipankar.
Dipankar also spoke about the challenges he witnessed of the budding photographers in Garo hills, from proper guidance in their work and equipment’s since Garo Hills didn’t have the proper institute for videography and photography.
“Through Pre – incubation program I got the best mentoring which helped me understand my potential and also helped in expanding my business. From the knowledge and guidance’s I acquired, I was able to train aspiring photographers to be more professional in their work as well” said Dipankar
