PRIME
PRIME is an acronym for Promotion and Incubation of Market Driven Enterprises. PRIME was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya Conrad K. Sangma in January 2020. The program envisions making entrepreneurship a preferred career choice for the youth and people of the State through creation of a dynamic and collaborative ecosystem that enables easy availability of credit, relevant technology, skilling and mentoring support and access to high leverage markets. Through PRIME, the youth is encouraged to explore alternative methods of employment and become job creators rather than mere job seekers

Incubation
Take your innovative startup or business idea to the next level with PRIME. Apply for Chief Minister’s E-Champion Challenge and secure a place in the Top-50 entrepreneurs of the state. The intensive 9-month program will provide you dedicated mentoring by industry experts, free legal and marketing services, market & funding connections, free workspace and more.
Pre-Incubation
As you take the initial steps of your entrepreneurial journey, let PRIME Pre-Incubation help you scale up and expand your business. PRIME Pre-Incubation is an ongoing program that equips you with all the entrepreneurship knowledge and skills required through regular training, workshops, and mentorship sessions
Rural PRIME Support
PRIME’s support staff located in 29 blocks of the state brings direct support to rural entrepreneurs and farmers. The Rural PRIME Hubs are one-stop-shops to help you with your business plans, market connections as well as access to various government schemes and initiatives. These physical workspaces will give you access to various food and agro-processing machinery to manufacture your products.
Funding & Schemes
PRIME offers you a large range of funding options to start and scale up your business. The dedicated PRIME ID Entrepreneurship Funding has components covering almost all types of businesses and entrepreneurs in Meghalaya. Ranging from a Kickstart Grant for development of innovative new products and services to interest-free loans for entrepreneurs that want to scale up their businesses.
Co-Working Space
The two dedicated PRIME Startup Hubs in JN Stadium, Shillong and Food Crafts Institute (FCI), Tura are co-working spaces, where entrepreneurs can work on their ideas and businesses. Apply for your very own office-space, enjoy the vibrant atmosphere among like-minded entrepreneurs, and attend various workshops and training sessions.
Knowledge Portal
The Knowledge Portal offers you a comprehensive collection of information and knowledge related to entrepreneurship covering all the Government Departments in Meghalaya and the centre. You can find information about training, schemes, grants, loans but also readymade business plans customized for Meghalaya on this portal. You can choose the most relevant offering from the bunch.
Student Engagement
If you are managing or teaching at a school, college or university in Meghalaya, we would like to engage with you. We have various exclusive virtual and physical entrepreneurship formats for students of different levels and subjects. A variety of advanced training options are available to equip faculties with skills on entrepreneurship development and pre-incubation.
